How to make the appliques:

1. Stitch the placement stitch.
2. Place the fabric covering the complete outline.
3. Stitch the tack-down stitch.
4. Trim away the fabric access close to the seam, leaving about 1-2 mm seam allowance (!)
5. Stitch out the rest of the design, following the colour chart to identify colour changes.
