When do you need knockdown stitches? The answer is: Every time you embroider on high-pile fabrics such as towels, terrycloth, faux fur etc. If you want to have your embroidery design stand out from the material rather then thinking into the piles then stitch the knockdown first and place your motif on top of it.

Recommended for lettering, monograms, light designs with not much filling like outlines or doodles. These shapes here are NOT applique motifs. They have the knockdown stitch (the filled part) and a decorative satin stitch around it. You can stitch all of it in just one colour or you can play with your thread colours matching your project.

The shapes are available as single designs or you can buy the set to save money and be prepared for any project that you want to do in the future.
