FSD - Free-Standing Design

This embroidery design does not need any fabrics for stabilisation. Stitch it straight onto water-soluble stabiliser (such as Solvy), then wash away the stabiliser, dry the design flat and you have a beautiful, fantastic looking item. Match your bobbin threads with the upper thread with each colour change and you will end up with a design that is mirrored, beautiful on both sides.

This design requires 12 different colours following the colour chart that comes with the design. You can of course chose your own colours to your liking. The colour chart is based on the Madeira Classic 40 colour palette as this is the brand I mainly use for my embroidery.

Please note: The design can also be stitched on fabrics. However; the design is dense and has a high stitch count to ensure it is holding itself without using any fabrics for support.

Stitch counts and sizes for this design is shown in the first picture. This design fits in the 5x7 inch / 13x18 cm hoop.

Please note: all my measurements are always in mm or cm, as only a small part of the world still uses inches (in fact only 3 countries) while the rest of the world - and therefore the majority of my customers - uses the metric system. When I provide inch for hoop sizes this is to give an indication only. If you prefer working with inches please use an app to convert the figures. Thank you for your understanding.
